Parlavoy uses the SM-2 algorithm. Cards you rate as easy appear less frequently; cards you miss appear more often. We also apply a polyglot interference penalty: if you're learning two related languages (e.g. Spanish and French), cognates that cause confusion are surfaced more frequently until your brain separates them.

Offline mode is in progress. Currently, an active internet connection is required for AI Tutor, Immerse Mode, and card syncing. SRS review with downloaded cards is coming in a future release.

It's a conversational assessment where Parlavoy's AI chats with you in your target language for about 5 turns, then analyzes the conversation to assign an A1–C2 level. It updates your profile automatically. You can retake it anytime from the Placement page.

Paste any native text — a news article, lyrics, a recipe, subtitles — and Parlavoy extracts vocabulary (with CEFR difficulty tags), key phrases, and comprehension questions. You can then add selected words directly to your SRS deck.

A native iOS and Android app is in active development. For now, Parlavoy works great in mobile browsers — it's a full PWA (Progressive Web App) so you can add it to your home screen.
