1. Who we are
Parlavoy is operated by Quantum Protection Security Services LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the United States. Our website is parlavoy.com. For privacy questions, contact us at denderle@quantumprotectionss.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash). If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Learning data: We store your language selections, CEFR levels, lesson progress, SRS card history (including review grades and timestamps), vocabulary decks, tutor conversation transcripts, and placement test results. This data powers the core features of the product.
Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this to maintain service reliability and debug issues.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers. We retain billing records (plan type, amount, date) as required by law.
Communications: If you contact us, we retain those messages to help resolve your issue and improve our support.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Parlavoy platform
- To personalize your learning experience and adapt AI outputs to your level and language portfolio
- To send transactional emails (password resets, subscription receipts, service notices)
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
- To analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns for product development
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
4. AI and your data
Parlavoy uses the Anthropic Claude API to power AI Tutor, Immerse Mode, Placement Testing, and other AI features. Conversation content and text you submit are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
Pronunciation Coach uses the Web Speech API which is processed by your browser (Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and subject to their respective privacy policies.
5. Third-party services

- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- Railway — Database hosting (PostgreSQL)
- Vercel — Web application hosting
- Google — OAuth sign-in (optional)
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share data with them as necessary to provide the service.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records (e.g., billing records for up to 7 years depending on jurisdiction).
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing activities
- Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

8. Children's privacy
Parlavoy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at denderle@quantumprotectionss.com and we will delete the account promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to denderle@quantumprotectionss.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the app. Continued use of Parlavoy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
